From it's humble beginnings as an amusing
time-filler for friends and acquaintances, the "Billy's Band" has matured
into, arguably the brightest revelation of the St.Petersburg and Moscow club
scenes in 2003. Giving new life to the style, created by Kerouac and Waits,
mixed with purely native life observations, stories and city myths (the
musicians themselves describe their style as "Graveyard Dixieland with an
Endless Happy End") has given the band a truly idol-like status from the
audiences of both capitals, and later even Europe.
